CLOSEST I GOT TO TIBET

my heart is with all tibetans & nepalis
& with all other friends and enemies
around the world in all floods of suffering
in all gorgeous glaciers now catastrophic
warming melting collapsing avalanching
coming towards us and us not getting it

himalayas became my home
and tibet my heart
but i cannot touch tibetan land this life
so i can only think of those who
are there restricted and are not free
and those who restrict and are not free
and in general of anyone on all sides
of life hearts and human rights

closest i got to tibet from the indian side
was living around a thousand kilometers away
between warm hearted tibetans in exile

closest i got to tibet from the nepali side
was feeling tibet’s enormous power vibrating
just a few kilometers away from the border
in the big valleys of nepal’s mustang

closest i got to legally enter tibet
from the chinese side was a few hours
of investigations in the airport in china
then actually being denied entry in china
because i might be a threat to their national security
because of the connection with HH the Dalai Lama
and my life in Dharamsala precious little Lhasa Dhasa
and connection with tibetans and their richness
chinese police asked and searched in detail for a few hours
phone messages files pictures contacts insta fb bags
and sent me back because i am connected to
“a man with an idea against the chinese state”
and a flag with sun, snow lions and mountains
