hi dear friends from all over the world
including entry deniers and heartbreakers
i am writing a poem now for everyone
made on this earth but especially
for those made in china
i declare compassion on you
and think of you deeply on a daily basis
i remember your eyes and body cameras
your armchairs and cold noodles
your vague answers and rapid hands
and i wonder if you ever remember the sun
how it shines its light so bright on everyone
because that’s banned forbidden at your place
so you can never think or speak of it freely
but i dare to send you the wise sun over
with its bright sun rays of rights
human and nonhuman rights
freedoms richnessess
shining in all directions touching humans
everywhere in this world and going
beyond walls of all kinds great walls
farewell to firewalls
i send you snowy mountains and glaciers
to keep the mind fresh crisp to reflect well
on three ts progress ethnic laws and ethics
autonomy and actual harmony
diamonds to sharply shake the core of beings
with freedom of speech breaking borders
i send you lion courage
to question your perspectives
to welcome minorities and think deeply
of real unity
i send you lion snow ice
to freeze causes for self immolations
i send you snow lions to dig and protect imagination
and three jewels to reveal the suchness underneath
always emanating happiness in nature of happiness
dissolving and completely abandoning meaningless
i send you plenty of freedom
to undress mass surveillance
and just let beings be
free
three point five years of happy tilted moon
high up on indian sky in tibetan cloud
three kgs collected in the spine
crying thali and wearing cold intestines
all good quite hopeful

love to all beings
especially most oppressed ones
in all directions babies children
sisters brothers mothers

especially confused ones

Tibet’s global freedom score is zero for the third year in a row, according to the Freedom in the World 2026.
Tibetan activist Lobga Rangzen (Lobsang Palden) carried a Tibetan flag and called for freedom for Tibet before setting himself on fire outside the United Nations Headquarters in New York on 2 July 2026. His self-immolation was the first known by a Tibetan in the U.S.
Lobga Rangzen: “Do not mourn for me. What we should truly mourn is the loss of our country. And do not remain in grief. If you must grieve, then I ask each one of you to keep fight for the Tibet cause.”
︎︎︎ Freedom House: Tibet is ruled by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) government based in Beijing, with local decision-making power concentrated in the hands of Chinese party officials. Residents of both Han Chinese and Tibetan ethnicity are denied fundamental rights, and authorities are especially rigorous in suppressing any signs of dissent among Tibetans.
︎︎︎International Campaign for Tibet: Tibet has a political rights score of –2 out of a possible 40, a civil liberties score of 2 out of a possible 60, combining for an overall score of 0 out of 100. Tibet scored a zero in the 2024 and 2025 reports, breaking an 8-year trend of scoring 1 overall and underscoring the continued worsening human rights situation within Tibet.
︎︎︎Amnesty International: On 1 July 2026, China’s new Ethnic Unity Law entered into force. Amnesty International warned that the law would further institutionalize policies of forced assimilation targeting Tibetans, Uyghurs and other non-Han ethnic groups, and could strengthen the legal basis for transnational repression, targeting and violating fundamental freedoms of those peacefully advocating for minority rights outside China.
Amnesty International has repeatedly called on the Chinese authorities to end policies that violate the human rights of Tibetans, in concert with Tibetan advocacy groups and with UN experts, and will continue to urge China to grant meaningful and unfettered access to Tibet for UN experts and other independent observers.
︎︎︎Tibetan Parliament: The new law, “Law of the People’s Republic of China on Promoting Ethnic Unity and Progress,“ is in direct violation of international laws and norms as well as the guarantees enshrined in the PRC’s own Constitution. Therefore, this law possesses neither legal legitimacy nor moral authority over the Tibetan people.
︎︎︎Human Rights Watch: European countries should further integrate human rights issues in their economic and foreign policy with China.
